1. On-Site Background: On-Site Observation by Customers


Customers from Taiwan made a special trip to visit, and the NODHA technical team led the customer to the processing site of strategic partner GIRET to observe a live demonstration of the new product—the GPM-CM PIpe Circumferential Seam Milling Machine.


As the equipment was hoisted to the pipe connection point, the technical team began precise positioning and debugging. The GPM-CM's unique self-adaptive clamping mechanism firmly holds the outer wall of the pipe, and through a precision guide rail system, the entire processing unit can move freely 360° around the circumference of the circumferential seam. The operating engineer inputs basic parameters such as pipe diameter and wall thickness on the control panel, and the equipment automatically calculates and adjusts to the optimal processing position.


2. Analysis of technical principles

 

The product adopts a heavy - formed duty cutter head cutting method. It is a device used for beveling the circular weld between two pipes after the inner bevel welding of the circular weld joint of the two pipes, and for back - gouging the welded inner - wall weld seam. It can be adjusted according to the change of the circular weld position. It is mainly used for external beveling operations in the manufacture of pressure vessels and large - diameter pipes.
