Customer from India Inspects CNC Straight Pipe-Elbow Beveling Machine at Factory

NODHA factory welcomed a customer from India. The visit primarily focused on pre-shipment acceptance of a custom-made CNC straight pipe-elbow beveling machine. This equipment is specifically designed to meet the complex and diverse pipeline processing needs of the Indian customer. Its processing range covers straight pipe diameters of 100-600mm and elbow diameters of 200-600mm, representing NODHA's newest technological equipment in the field of large-diameter and irregular-shaped pipe processing.

I. Customer Background

The Indian customer, a comprehensive engineering service provider in South Asia, primarily engages in petrochemical pipeline installation, power plant construction, and industrial equipment maintenance. They have higher requirements for pipeline prefabrication capabilities:

Large Diameter Range: From DN100 auxiliary pipelines to DN600 main process pipelines, all require in-house processing capabilities.

Diverse Pipe Types: In addition to conventional straight pipes, a large number of elbows (bends) require on-site preparation and welding beveling, with elbow diameters concentrated in the 200-600mm range.

High precision requirements: Strict standards apply to beveling angles, blunt edge accuracy, and end face perpendicularity.

II. Equipment Advantages

NODHA offers customized straight pipe-elbow CNC beveling machine solutions tailored to customers' specific working conditions. This equipment is not simply a combination of two functions, but rather a deep integration and optimization of the clamping system, CNC program, and cutting process.

Straight pipe processing range: Φ100-600mm; Elbow processing range: Φ200-600mm; this is the core technological breakthrough of this equipment. Addressing the irregular shape and center-of-gravity shift of elbows, NODHA designed a dedicated contouring fixture and auxiliary support mechanism. When processing a DN500, 90° elbow, the fixture perfectly conforms to the curved surface on the back of the elbow, ensuring that the axis and tool path remain consistent during beveling at both ends of the elbow, solving the industry problem of unstable elbow clamping in traditional equipment.

Integrated CNC system, one-button switching between straight and elbow processing; the dedicated CNC system on the equipment incorporates both straight pipe and elbow processing modes. Operators simply select the workpiece type, input the diameter and wall thickness on the touchscreen, and the system automatically calls up the matching clamping force parameters and cutting program. For elbows, the system can also automatically compensate for the tool path based on the bending angle and radius, ensuring precise consistency of the bevel angle and dimensions.

III. From Trust to Reliance

Regarding customer concerns about equipment compatibility and ease of operation, the NODHA technical team demonstrated the equipment's parameter debugging and specification switching process on-site. Switching from 100mm straight pipe processing to 600mm elbow processing only took 5 minutes to complete parameter adjustment and fixture adaptation. The operation is simple and easy to understand, requiring no specialized technicians to operate proficiently. Simultaneously, the equipment is equipped with an intelligent protection system that effectively avoids safety hazards such as metal shavings flying and equipment misoperation during processing, ensuring operator safety and meeting international safety production standards. Furthermore, the technical team demonstrated the equipment's daily maintenance methods and explained the replacement techniques for easily worn parts, ensuring smooth production and reducing equipment maintenance costs.

The detailed technical documentation and remote debugging support provided by NODHA before equipment delivery instilled confidence in the customer regarding subsequent installation and operation.
